The Barn sleeps 8 guests in 4 immaculate double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The Barn also has a large living space which includes a lounge, kitchen and dining area along with a secure and neat garden that also includes outdoor furniture and a BBQ.
The Lodge sleeps 2 people and comes complete with kitchen, dining area, wet room and lounge. The Lodge at Tyn Y Coed is the perfect option for a romantic get away with a loved one.
The Lodge at Tyn Y Coed is a single storey detached luxurious home which sleeps up 2 guests. Immaculately furnished.
The living accommodation has a fully equipped, spacious kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave oven and dishwasher – everything you need to prepare the evening meal following a day of walking in the Welsh countryside. The large dining table comfortably seats four guests and the living room has comfortable seating along with large TV with Freeview and DVD player when you want to relax and enjoy a night in with family or friends.
The Lodge consists of one double bedroom with large bathroom which includes a standing shower.

Tyn y Coed is surrounded by country and wooded paths and you can walk for miles without having to cross a main road. The Glamorgan Heritage Coastal Path offers stunning coastline and beaches.
The immediate area is criss crossed with superb MTB trails for all abilities. Tyn y Coed is situated at the base of the Garth Mountain (1000 feet) and the surrounding woods and mountains to the East and North are very popular MTB areas. Tyn y Coed is also a great location for road cycling whether riding into the Brecon Beacons or the Bwilch and Rhinos Mountains, or for riding through the beautiful and quiet Vale of Glamorgan to the coast at Ogmore by Sea or beyond.
There are many great golf courses nearby, including the Celtic Manor (home of 2010 Ryder Cup), Vale Resort and also Cregiau Golf Course located just 1 mile away.
The Barn at Tyn Y Coed is a single storey lodge which sleeps up to 8 guests in four en-suite double bedrooms. Immaculately furnished inside, The Barn also provides free parking with disabled access right outside the entrance to the accommodation. With a secure and neat garden which also includes outdoor furniture and a barbeque, The Barn is perfect for dining alfresco on Welsh summer evenings overlooking wonderful views over the valley.

Check-in time is anytime after 4:00pm at a mutually agreed time, and you must check-out by 10:00am in order for us to be able to clean the accommodation for the next guests.
Yes, the minimum number of nights is three and this applies to both The Barn and The Lodge.
Yes, both The Barn and The Lodge have on-site parking with disabled access.
Yes, The Barn is accessible and adapted for people with disabilities. There is on-site parking with a large space for wheelchair access. There are handrails on the outside The Barn to allow easy access in and out of the property.
Tyn Y Coed is a eco-friendly site. We’ve installed solar panels on site which provide energy for both The Barn and The Lodge. Even the smallest actions can make a big difference to the environmental footprint made by your stay. Turning off the lights, appliances (TV, Bang & Olufsen sound system etc.) and heating when you leave your accommodation can make a significant difference to how much energy is used. We have also installed recycling bins so please use them as much as possible during your stay.
The Barn has it’s own utility room which has a washing/dryer machine, iron and ironing board.

As outlined in the previous question/answer there are no pets allowed at Tyn Y Coed. However, should you use the kennels close by, there is plenty of woodland in which to walk dogs, but please keep them on a lead at all times and clean up any fouling.
Yes, our sister company Caesars Arms has a farm shop which sells local fresh produce and is located next to Caesars Arms restaurant, just a five minute stroll from Tyn Y Coed. There is also a Tesco Express less than two miles away from Tyn Y Coed.
